About the Role

We're looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys building products end-to-end.

This isn't a role where you'll spend months maintaining legacy code or working on isolated tickets.

You'll help build the core platform powering UpTroop—from enterprise authentication and content creation to AI-powered learning experiences used by thousands of frontline employees.

You'll work directly with the founders, AI Engineers, Product, and Design to rapidly ship features that solve real customer problems.

What You'll Build

Build Enterprise SaaS Products

Design and develop features across our Admin Console, Learning Platform, AI Content Creator, and Analytics Platform.

Examples include:

• Multi-tenant administration
• User & cohort management
• Enterprise dashboards
• Content management
• Reporting & analytics
• Licensing & AI consumption
• Workflow automation

Build AI-Powered Experiences

Work closely with AI Engineers to bring AI capabilities into production.

You'll integrate:

• AI Role Plays
• AI Coach
• AI Trainer
• Voice interactions
• AI-generated content
• AI feedback
• AI evaluations

into seamless customer experiences.

Build Enterprise Integrations

Develop integrations with enterprise ecosystems including:

• Microsoft Entra ID
• OAuth & SSO
• Enterprise APIs

Help customers deploy UpTroop securely inside their existing IT environments.

Build Reliable Backend Systems

Design scalable backend services that power:

• Content processing
• User management
• Learning journeys
• Notifications
• AI orchestration
• Reporting
• APIs
• Background jobs

Focus on reliability, performance, observability, and maintainability.

Build Beautiful User Experiences

Develop intuitive, responsive interfaces that make AI simple to use.

You'll work across:

• Learner applications
• Admin Console
• Content Authoring
• Dashboards
• AI conversations
• Mobile-first workflows

Small UX improvements can have a huge impact on thousands of users.

Engineer for Scale

As our customer base grows, you'll help us:

• Improve application performance
• Scale cloud infrastructure
• Optimize API performance
• Improve security
• Reduce latency
• Improve deployment pipelines
• Build reusable platform components

What We're Looking For

• 1-2 years of experience building modern web applications
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills
• Experience with React (Next.js preferred)
• Experience building backend services using Node.js, Python, or .NET
• Experience designing REST APIs
• Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Azure
• Experience with Git and CI/CD
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Passion for building high-quality software
